Herbs and health
Ginger is my herb of choice! My family tries to get away with putting ginger (fresh or ground) in everything. I just discovered that ginger treats menstrual cramping, migraines, morning and motion sickness, reduces pain and inflammation, heartburn and so much more! It can be used as a flavor enhancer in cooked foods as well as tea to help with indigestion. I personally have been using ginger for 5 years now. Negatives side effects include a bad taste in the mouth or mouth irritation. There are no known toxic effects of ginger but too much ginger can lead to belching, gas, and diarrhea.

My introduction to ginger was when I first started eating sushi. It took me a long time to acquire a taste for it...once it hit my palette it tasted like someone had just shoved a bar of soap in my mouth -yuck! Luckily, I've come to like it & appreciate it for its digestive benefits. So, it aids in stopping ovarian cancer cell growth? IN-TER-EST-ING...good to know!
